What & Why about Cellulite

WHAT IS CELLULITE
.
I bet all of you (if you are here already) have read thousands of descriptions of this word - cellulite. Me too – and I am sure no one would really imagine what cellulite really is until you actually see it on our skin. Voila, cellulite appeared! You got it! Ugghh.. You have to see it and touch it to understand what cellulite really is – otherwise you will never really understand what stands behind those descriptions.
In short, cellulite is a condition of the skin, often called orange peel or cottage cheese syndrome. Cellulite affected body parts have many small bumps right under the skin – and the surface of the skin looks dimpled, bumpy.
Cellulite is a layer of small pockets under the skin. Those small pockets are filled with fat, toxins and some form of water (let us just call it fat) – this is why cellulite appears on those areas which have most fat. It usually affects legs, hips, buttocks, sometimes even stomach. Cellulite IS a kind of fat – and since it is the nearest fat to our skin, it is much more visible than deeper fat of our body. Although, models, who are often thin women, also have cellulite – though it seems they have no fat. This happens because of other reasons. Anyone with any body type, thick or thin, can have cellulite.
Cellulite is made of fat and toxins that natural processes cannot remove from the body. Fat cells and toxins left in the body after normal processes, form cellulite – usually in those parts of our bodies, which have more fat than others.
Cellulite is a common problem for mostly women, especially those over 20-25 years old. When getting older, the skin is getting thicker, so cellulite is getting even more visible. Also, if you gain more weight during pregnancy or for any other reasons, cellulite might become more visible. Although, bigger cellulite bumps during pregnancy is not always a result of gained body weight.
Men also have cellulite, but it appears on lower layers of their skin – this is one of the reasons it is not visible. Mens` cellulite is also different because of a different type of fat and the skin connective tissue. Men have thicker skin – these are the reasons why cellulite on mens` skin is never or very rarely noticeable.
Bad news is that cellulite does not disappear with years, it gets worse if left untreated. Also, some people say that it is impossible to get rid of cellulite, you can only reduce it to minimum, while others assure that cellulite is something you can get rid of. The main goal of this website is to find the most effective ways to reduce cellulite, no matter what it would take: your time, patience, money etc.
I myself never imagined what cellulite is and was proud I DO NOT have it, unless one day I realized things were starting to go wrong.
However, you will have to try far more harder to reduce cellulite of a higher grade – when it is obviously seen at the beach or to other people. Anyway, since our husbands or loved ones do not see cellulite on our skin, we still cannot feel good and keep trying to reduce it.

WHAT CAUSES CELLULITE
.
Nobody knows why - but obviously, some thin people can have bigger cellulite that other ones, who are not that thin.
There is a lot of information around about the factors that cause cellulite. The most usual, and, I think, most realistic, are these:
.
- Hormones – cellulite is more visible and bigger during pregnancy or menopause. Hormones play a crucial role in blood circulation (which is very important talking about beautiful skin and no cellulite), fat and connective tissue of the body. This is why contraceptive pills also play a significant role in the formation of cellulite because of bigger dozens of estrogen hormone.
.
- Age – as you age, your blood circulation gets slower making those cellulite pockets of fat bigger because of lack of oxygen. The surface of the skin gets thicker, losing its elasticity – and cellulite gets more noticeable.
.
- Inactive lifestyle and weight – the less you exercise, move, the less fat you are able to burn, the less you can improve your blood flow – the more chances to gain more weight and for cellulite to appear or increase. Active lifestyle not only improves the tone of muscles and tissues, but also firms the skin. You are more likely to develop cellulite if you have overweight.
.
- Unhealthy way of living – drugs, smoking, alcohol, fast food, etc. These bad things make more toxins in our bodies, destroys the elasticity of our skin, what makes a big influence for cellulite.
.
- Dehydration – water is essential for the whole body. Usually the lack of drinking water is mostly seen on the skin – so cellulite is the first thing going to happen if not drinking enough liquids.
.
- Genetics – as many known diseases, there are far more chances for cellulite to appear if your mother, grandma or other relatives had this problem.
.
- Stress – in stressful situations people get unusual heart rate, they even breathe differently. Less oxygen causes problems such as skin diseases, hair loss, cellulite and others.
